Effective representation in Poland is of particular importance: it has always been and will remain one of our most important strategic economic partners, both as a priority export market for Lithuania and as a major investor in our country. We see enormous mutually beneficial economic potential and we hope that the appointment of a Commercial Attaché will help realise it," said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
Bilateral trade turnover between Lithuania and Poland last year amounted to EUR 7.3 billion, with direct Polish investments amounting to EUR 1.5 billion, making Poland the 6th largest investor in Lithuania. In the first half of this year, Poland ranked 1st in terms of trade turnover in goods, 2nd in terms of exports and exports of goods of Lithuanian origin and 1st in terms of imports.
To apply for the post of Commercial Attaché, you must have at least a Bachelor's degree in law, business, economics or political science, or at least a Bachelor's degree and at least two years' experience in international cooperation. Applicants for the post must have a minimum level of C1 in English and B1 in Polish.

Lithuania is expanding its network of commercial attachés and aims to increase the number of commercial attachés to 23 by 2024. Lithuania currently has Commercial Attachés in the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, Ukraine and South Korea.
The Ministry of the Economy and innovation and Innovation will shortly be launching competitions for the post of Commercial Attaché in Singapore, Denmark and France.
