Under the measure "Subsidies for jobs created by Ukrainian businesses in the Republic of Lithuania", a single applicant may be granted support for the creation of at least 10 jobs for the purpose of carrying out his/her main economic activity. A one-off subsidy of EUR 10 000 is foreseen for the establishment of a business in Lithuania and EUR 5 000 for the creation of one new job.
"The war in Ukraine has been going on for more than three months now, and every day of it not only destroys people's lives, but also destroys the country's economy. That is why quick and decisive solutions are needed to help Ukrainian businesses survive. In order to help Ukrainian companies that are now unable to continue their operations in their home country, we have swiftly drafted and approved a new measure. It will encourage Ukrainian companies and entrepreneurs to expand their activities in Lithuania and create new jobs," said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
The applicant can be a legal entity, which has been registered in Lithuania by a Ukrainian company on or later than 24 February 2022, and the average annual revenue of this company in the last three financial years was at least equal to the amount of the requested subsidy. The number of employees at the end of 2021 should not be less than 20.
The applicant undertakes to create at least 10 jobs in Lithuania no later than 1 November this year. The grant is open to companies whose shareholders and members of their boards are not on any sanctions lists of the United Nations, the European Union, Lithuania, the United States of America or any other sanctions.
The facility is administered by the Agency „Investuok Lietuvoje“ (“Invest in Lithuania”).
