“It has been 7 years since Google set up a small company in Lithuania. During this time, we have seen our economy rebound and move to a new level of quality. Today, Lithuania is professionally ready to accommodate Google’s significantly larger investments in the areas of cybersecurity, fight against disinformation, payment systems, software development, data centers and other areas,” President Gitanas Nausėda underlined. The President also invited Google’s executives to visit Lithuania.
Google Lithuania currently employs 21 people and generates the annual revenue of around EUR 1 million. Worldwide, Google employs 156,000 staff and has a revenue of USD 258 billion.
American investments in Lithuania amounted to EUR 688 million at the end of 2021 (EUR 343 million at the end of 2020).
