The IMF experts will analyse Lithuania’s overall macroeconomic situation, economic development and labour market trends, situation in the financial sector, fiscal policy, the implementation of measures in response to the COVID-19 crisis as well as the latest developments in the energy sector. The experts will devote much attention to the recovery after the pandemic, inflation trends and the measures planned for its containment.
Remote meetings are planned with the members of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania and department representatives. The IMF mission will also meet with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance, other public institutions and the private sector.
Lithuania has been a member of the IMF since 1992. the membership of the IMF includes 190 countries.
