Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 1.8, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 10.6%, of those engaged in trading in non-food products – 3.3% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of sport equipment (24.7%), metal articles, paints and glass (17.2%) in specialised stores.
In April 2014, against April 2013, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 10.1% at constant prices (working day adjusted, by 8%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 7%, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 16.4%, of those engaged in retail trade in non-food products – 10.6% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of sport equipment (29%), metal articles, paints and glass (24.8%) in specialised stores, and retail sale via mail order houses or via the Internet (43.2%).
In April 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to LTL 122.4 million and, against March, increased by 2.9% at constant prices. Compared to April 2013, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 7.7% at constant prices.
