Passenger numbers went up on all routes, and the group's passenger transportation subsidiary LG Keleiviams saw its revenue rise 5%, Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai said.
LG Keleiviams CEO Linas Buzys says Vilnius-Kaunas remained the most popular route, despite the fact that trains could not go all the way to Kaunas for six months due to the construction of the Rail Baltica railway.
"We estimated a major drop in passenger numbers on the Vilnius-Kaunas route back then but it remained the most popular in 2019 accounting for 28% of all passengers," Bauzys said in a statement.
11% of passengers were carried between Vilnius and Klaipeda and back.
