In the first quarter the total amount of Ergo's profit was EUR 1.98 million. The amount of rewards Ergo paid to its Baltic clients was EUR 19 million, information provided by Ergo indicates.
Ergo showed relevant growth getting ahead the average market growth indexes. The total amount of premiums written in the first quarter in Latvia was EUR 10.9 million.
In non-life insurance, Ergo has grown more rapidly than the market itself, achieving an increase of 17.5% in the first quarter. The highest increase is in health and life insurance – 26 and 23%, the total amount of premiums written is EUR 6.2 million.
The amount of premiums written in non-life insurance reached EUR 26 million in the Baltic States. This growth was mainly secured by an increase in KASKO, OCTA and property insurance.
The amount of premiums written in health and life insurance reached EUR 13.2 million in the Baltic States, providing a 19.7% increase. These results were affected by the increasing amount of life insurance.
The increase in life insurance is a reflection of positive economic growth in the country. More Baltic companies consider health insurance a tool to motivate their employees, especially in Latvia and Lithuania.
