Doing Business rating of business conditions. We are leaders among Central and Eastern European countries. As a proof of growing mutual trust between Lithuania and investors is expanding geography, spheres and scale of investments in Lithuania. The contours of our country are getting increasingly conspicuous in the map of the countries attractive for investment.
The President underlined that investments were very important for accelerating our national economy's recovery after the crisis. New jobs serve not only to reduce the level of unemployment; they also offer opportunities for people, especially young, to gain important and useful experience here in Lithuania, not abroad.
President Grybauskaitė highlighted the importance of continued efforts to create business friendly environment that could stimulate both more vigorous start-up activities of Lithuanian business people and the willingness of foreign companies to invest in our country. She called on regional representatives to intensify dialogue with investors and explore distinctive advantages of their regions enabling promotion of investments there.
