For the creation of the favourable conditions for the export development, the National Export Prize was give to the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union.
Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius attended the awards ceremony of the Business Woman of the Year and Export of the Year which was taking place in the Government.
"I hope that the organizers and the participants of this pretty event will further cherish this perfect tradition of the results evaluation, will present the innovatory decisions and will try to demonstrate that the decision can be much more diverse and much more interesting that we can image," said Butkevicius at the awards ceremony.
Minister of Social Security and Labour Algimanta Pabedinskiene highlighted the factor of the promotion of the occupation of women was very important because only one-third of Lithuania's entrepreneurs – women. According to Lithuania's Minister of Social Security and Labour, such a rate was too low.
"The bigger society's attention to businesswomen and the emphasis of their contributions to economic and social development not only promote the occupation and the entrepreneurship of women but also serve as an example of the socially responsible business creation," said Pabedinskiene.
