Lietuvos Rytas has found out that GetJet Airlines' aircraft are aged between 19 and 29 years.
GetJet Airlines CEO Darius Viltrakis told the daily that under the contract with the tour operator, the carrier will operate flights using Airbus A320 aircraft built in 2003 and 2001 and a Boeing 737 Next Generation.
The CEO added that talks are underway with lease companies on additional Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
Alvydas Sumskas, deputy director of the Lithuanian Civil Aviation Administration, confirmed that there is no legislation setting an age limit for an aircraft to be operational.
