"We can rejoice that, from the perspective of the difference in the women and men occupation rate as well as the difference in women and men unemployment rate, Lithuania is a leading country in the European Union (EU). Despite the increasing women occupation and the role in the state's economy, the situation still must be improved. For example, according to the researches, women are still insufficiently involved in private business – only one-third of Lithuania's entrepreneurs – women," said Pabedinskiene in the international conference organized by the Hanseatic Parliament in Hamburg.
According to the press-release of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour (SADM), during the conference the minister presented Lithuania's experience of the encouragement of the entrepreneurship of women as well as the participation in the labour market. During the meetings with the high-rank officers, Pabedinskiene discussed the topical issues related to the promotion of the youth's occupation.
