In IV quarter 2013, against the same quarter of 2012, the volume of construction work carried out within the country increased by 18.3% at constant prices, working day adjusted – 18.6%.
The share of construction of civil engineering structures accounted for more than half of total construction work carried out within the country and amounted to LTL 1.3 billion, i.e. by 22.9% more than in IV quarter 2012.
The share of construction of non-residential buildings accounted for 35% (LTL 829 million) of total construction work carried out within the country, or by 12.4% more than in IV quarter 2012. The share of construction of residential buildings accounted for 9% of total construction work carried out within the country, i.e. by 16% more than in IV quarter 2012.
Against III quarter 2013, the volume of construction work carried out within the country increased by 0.3% at constant prices (seasonally adjusted – by 3.2%), outside the country – decreased by 5.9%.
In 2013, the volume of construction work carried out amounted to LTL 7.8 billion; against 2012, it increased by 11.3% at constant prices. The volume of construction work carried out within the country amounted to LTL 7.3 billion, outside the country – LTL 505 million; against 2012, it increased by 11.3 and 11.1% at constant prices respectively.

In 2013, the volume of construction of civil engineering structures amounted to LTL 3.8 billion, that of construction of buildings – LTL 3.4 billion.
In 2013, the share of construction of civil engineering structures accounted for 53% of total construction work carried out within the country; against 2012, it increased by 8% at constant prices; a third comprised road and street construction and repair.
In 2013, the share of construction of non-residential buildings accounted for 38% (LTL 2.8 billion), or by 15.8% more than in 2012. The bulk of construction of non-residential buildings fell within industrial buildings and warehouses.
In 2013, volume of construction of residential buildings amounted to LTL 667 million (9% of total construction work carried out within the country), or by 13.1% at constant prices more than in 2012.
In 2013, according to the type of work, new construction accounted for the largest share of the total construction work – 44%, reconstruction – 30%, repair and other construction – 26%.

Construction work carried out – the value (VAT excluded) of all kinds of work carried out when building a new structure, reconstructing, repairing (restoring) or demolishing a structure for a customer (sale) or for own needs.
