In 2013, BIOK Laboratorija export grew by 80% year-on-year. Today, the company's export markets constitute 8.5% of the total turnover. Currently, main Lithuanian cosmetics markets are in Poland, Ukraine, Georgia and Latvia.
Head of BIOK Laboratorija Vaidotas Krencius says that the company's results exceed the average growth rate of cosmetics market.
Last year, BIOK Laboratorija modernized and developed technologic equipment which enables the company to increase competitiveness and labour productivity. In 2012-2013, the company invested approximately LTL 2 million (EUR 0.6 million) in production infrastructure and business management systems.
The company employs 55 people whose average age is 39.
BIOK Laboratorija was established in 1991. In 2001 the company implemented ISO 9001 quality management system. Meanwhile, in 2012 it was the first in Lithuania to receive GMP certificate in cosmetics manufacturing.
