In the third quarter of 2013, as compared to the same period in 2012, the use of the production capacities in Lithuania increased by 2.2 and reached 73.5%. As a result, Lithuania approached the average of the use of the production capacities in the EU which decreased by 0.3% in November 2013.
The businessmen received more orders. As a result, the new workplaces were created. Moreover, the increase in the number of people working individually was registered.
Chief analyst of the Enterprise Lithuania Vadimas Ivanovas said that, taking into consideration this period, Lithuania was the 2nd among the 9 EU states in which the average use of the production capacities was not reduced. In the whole EU, the average use of the production capacities decreased from 78.4 to 78.1% in 2013.
Even if the load of the production in Europe slows down, the use of the production capacities in Lithuania is gradually increasing. This shows that the businessmen receive more orders and the number of the workplaces is increasing.
