According to the minister, there was a step forward made as the new laws on the territory planning came to effort which eliminated the need for the arrangement of the detailed plans. The citizens or the businessmen willing to start the constructions were to only be asked to arrange the designed proposals, the construction projects and to get the permission.
"The half of a year was need to arrange the detailed plan for the smallest object – the individual house, while for the bigger investment objects – 3-4 years (). We save time and money as we rejected the arrangement of detailed plans," said Mazuronis during the press breakfast on Thursday.
According to Director of the Territorial Planning, Urban Development and Architecture Department at the Ministry of Environment Marius Narmontas, the reforms contributed to the Lithuania's position in the World's Bank ratings Doing Business which reflected the conditions of the business development in every country.
"The territory planning and the construction are one of the criteria of this rating and I think that we contributed a lot for a higher 17th position," said Narmontas.
