"I keep to an opinion that Lithuania will have the euro in 2015," said Butkevicius to the journalists after the meeting with Speaker of the Seimas Loreta Grauziniene on Thursday.
According to the head of the Government, the plan of the euro introduction was to be presented next week and the advantages and the disadvantages of the euro were to come to light. The prime minister highlighted that the presentation of the euro introduction plan was to be attended by Chair of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania Vitas Vasiliauskas and Minister of Finance Rimantas Sadzius.
Lithuania's Speaker of the Seimas Loreta Grauziniene hoped that the ruling coalition was to hold the constructive discussion on the euro adoption.
"Next week we will wait for the information from the finance minister and chair of the Bank of Lithuania. The partners of the coalition will listen to this information (). I am the chair of the Labour Party and I take my office seriously. As a result, I have to present this information to the Board of the Labour Party, so that the discussion on the terms, calculations and on the advantages and the disadvantages would be taking place," said Grauziniene.
Grauziniene hoped that the partners of coalition was to reach the agreement.
