"We'll return a part of the gas under a gas swap contract, because we borrowed some gas at the start of the year," Litgas spokesman Paulius Jakutavicius told BNS. "We plan to store another part at the facility and sell on the market, as provided for by the law," he said, adding that this would depend on market conditions.
Mantas Mikalajunas, CEO of Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas (Lithuanian Gas Supply, or LDT), said that the company had not yet decided on how much gas it would store at Incukalns.
A tanker last Friday delivered almost 140,000 cubic meters of LNG from Norway's Statoil for Litgas.
LDT and Achema, Lithuania's largest single gas consumer, also import LNG from Statoil.
