In April alone, cargo traffic through the port increased by 5.5% year-on-year to 3.467 million tons.
In January through April year-on-year, bulk cargo volumes declined by 3.2% to 6.072 million tons. General cargo volumes rose by 21.1% to 4.709 million tons and liquid cargo volumes were up by 3.1% to 3.534 million tons.
In April from a year ago, general cargo volumes soared by 34.6% to 1.22 million tons. Bulk cargo volumes decreased by 5.4% to 1.545 million tons and liquid cargo volumes went down by 6.1% to 700,400 tons.
