The import of the Lithuanian milk products can be renewed in the short run. This was confirmed before the holidays by head of the Russian consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor Ana Popova.

According to representative of the State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) Jurgita Savickaite, Russia's service had not announced that the import of Lithuanian production was to be renewed after the New Year. "To date, we received no official information from Russia. We cannot confirm or deny this fact," said Savickaite.
