Litgrid received EUR 29.8 mln for electricity transmission projects in 7 years

The Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid AB and Lithuanian business support agency (LBSA) signed the last funding contracts this year, according which the 2 projects of the high-voltage electricity infrastructure were to be funded by LTL 2 million (EUR 579 thousand). In total, in 2007-2013, 18 electricity transmission projects were funded from the European Union (EU) money. The funding received for the projects in this period reaches LTL 103 million (EUR 29.8 million). According to Director General of the Litgrid Vidmantas Grusas, from 2011, the money received form the EU structural funs made up the one fifth shall of all the investments in the reconstruction of the networks of the electricity transmission.
