In the third quarter of 2013, company profits amounted to LTL 2.7 billion (EUR 0.8 billion), by 10.9% more year-on-year. However quarter-on-quarter profitability dropped by 16.9%.
Wholesale, storage and transportation companies earned the most profit. Meanwhile, companies engaged in electricity, gas, steam supply and air conditioning services recorded the highest losses. Average profitability stood at 4.5%, while 67.5% of Lithuanian companies worked at a profit.
In nine months of 2013, Lithuanian companies earned LTL 169 billion (EUR 49 billion) in revenue, while earnings before taxes were at LTL 7.8 billion (EUR 2.2 billion). Year-on-year revenue increased by 7.1%, while earnings increased by 4.3%.
