According to Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas, the previous call for proposals attracted considerable interest and some projects had to be placed on the reserve list. As new resources became available the support was provided for the companies from the reserve list. In 2007-2013, a total of LTL 106.6 million (EUR 30.9 million) was allocated for the projects under the instrument New Opportunities, more than 680 agreements were signed.
Under the instrument New Opportunities, support for 105 companies varied from LTL 21,000 (EUR 6,000) to LTL 150,000 (EUR 43,000). The highest possible amount of LTL 150,000 was allocated to 22 companies each. The latest call for proposals featured simplified payment procedures. Expenses incurred when participating in international exhibitions were covered by applying fixed rate values varying from country to country.
