Over the month (in September 2013, against August 2013), exports increased by 2.6%. This was influenced by an increase in exports of cereals (by 98.9%) and petroleum products (by 6.5%). Imports increased by 6.4%. This was influenced by an increase in imports of ground vehicles – by 46.7, articles of iron or steel – by 34.4%. Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 1.5 and 9.3% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 9.5, mineral products excluded – 9.7%. Exports to Russia decreased by 17.8%, exports of Lithuanian origin increased by 0.3%, exports of Lithuanian dairy products decreased by 1.4%.
In September 2013, against September 2012, exports grew by 2.7%. This was influenced by an increase in exports of electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (by 23.2%), boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (by 15.2%). Imports increased by 0.9%. This was determined by an increase in imports of boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (by 23.4%), and electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (by 17.8%). Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 7.1 and 17.3% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 4.5%, mineral products excluded – 0.8%. Exports to Russia increased by 7.4%, exports of Lithuanian origin decreased by 4.5%, exports of Lithuanian dairy products increased by 17.6%.
In January–September 2013, against the same period in 2012, exports grew by 10.4%. This was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products (by 10.7%), cereals (80.9), boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (by 12.4%). Imports increased by 8.6%. This was determined by an increase in imports of crude petroleum (by 14.7%), boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (by 16.5%), plastics and articles thereof (by 11.9%). Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 10.6 and 9.5% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 7.3, mineral products excluded – 5.7%. Exports to Russia increased by 15.9%, exports of Lithuanian origin increased by 8.8%, exports of Lithuanian dairy products increased by 32.1%.
In January–September 2013, the most important partners in exports were Russia (19.4%), Latvia (10%), Estonia (8.1%), Poland (7.4%), in imports – Russia (30.8%), Germany (10%), Poland (9.3%), and Latvia (6%). Most of goods of Lithuanian origin were exported to Estonia (10.1%), Germany (10%), Latvia (9.5%), and the United Kingdom (8.6%).
In January–September 2013, the largest share in exports and imports fell within mineral products (24.3 and 33.6% respectively), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (11.5 and 12.8%), products of the chemical or allied industries (8.4 and 9.8%). As for the goods of Lithuanian origin, the largest share in exports fell within mineral products (34.9%), miscellaneous manufactured articles (7.8%), and products of the chemical or allied industries (7.5%).
