Lithuanian milk processors sold 82-percent-fat butter in blocks at 5.61 euros per kilogram (not including VAT) in the domestic market, up by 73.8% from a year earlier, according to preliminary data on the Lithuanian Agriculture and Food Market Information System.
The price of Lithuanian-made butter in EU and third-country markets jumped by 67.4% year-on-year to 5.89 euros.
The price of skimmed milk powder rose by 3.2% to 1.74 euros in the domestic market and was up by 5.4% to 1.81 euros in export markets.
