The Lithuanian port handled 294,400 TEUs during the eight months, up 3.2% from 285,400 in the same period last year.
TEU traffic in Riga Freeport increased by 13.5% to 281,900 and Tallinn posted a 5.4% rise to 138,300 units. The Latvian port of Liepaja saw its TEU traffic double to 2,800 units.
Annual TEU traffic via Klaipeda grew by 12.9% in 2016 compared with 2015 to reach 443,300 units.
