As for building materials and products, an increase in prices was observed for wood products – by 0.7, metal products – by 0.5%; a decrease in prices was recorded for insulation materials – by 0.4, general and finishing materials – by 0.2% each.
As for buildings and structures, the largest increase in prices was observed for residential construction and building renovation – by 1.5% each.
The influence on the overall change in construction input prices is determined not only by change in the price of the construction input component but also by the relative share (weight) of that component in the total value of construction.
Over the year (July 2017, against July 2016), construction input prices increased by 3.6%. This was determined by an 11.5% increase in wages and salaries, a 1.5% increase in the costs of operation of machines and mechanisms, and a 0.8% increase in prices for building materials and products.
As for buildings and structures, the largest increase in prices – of 5.1% – was observed for residential construction. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 5.3%.
