Mindaugas Jusius, CEO at Klaipedos Nafta, said the start of the second half of 2017 made him optimistic.
"In July, freight traffic via the oil terminal grew by nearly 22%, mainly due to larger transit flows as a result of additional freight we managed to attract. The period was also intense at the Klaipedos Nafta terminal's tank vehicle site," Jusius said in a press release.
In July, crude throughput went up by 21.6% to 671,000 tons year-on-year, degasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) soared by 64% to 1.668 million megawatt-hours and the company's revenue was up by 12.7% to 8.9 million euros.
The oil handling volume fell by 21% in January-July to 3.933 million tons year-on-year, while LNG degasification declined by 36% to 6.536 million megawatt-hours.
Over the period, Klaipedos Nafta's revenue went down by 6.3% to 61.3 million euros, including a decline by 19.4% to 20.8 million euros from oil product loading and other operations and an increase by 2.3% to 40.5 million euros from LNG degasification.
