The company said that it incurred a loss of 18 million euros in the financial year that opens in March and ends the following February, however, views it as an investment with long-term returns.
The first 15 Lidl stores in Lithuania were opened at the beginning of June of 2016. The company currently operates 30 stores in 15 cities of Lithuania.
Lidl Lietuva is fully owned by Germany's CE Beteiligungs.
