The Prime Minister stated "To my mind if the commission of carbohydrates named Chevron as the winner of the tender. Personally, I see no obstacles for the government to approve this decision; what is more, the decision-making process cannot be delayed."
The Prime Minister also commented recent protests of the local community "they had all opportunities to get familiar with information regarding to the shale gas extraction (reconnaissance and hydraulic fracturing), but they hadn't used those opportunities".
Valentinas Mazuronis, the minister of environment, detailed that the commission of carbohydrates did entire technical and legal job and right now everything is up to the government.
