Over the month (July 2013, against June 2013), exports increased by 2.8%; it was influenced by an increase in exports of boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof (by 20.6%), furniture (13.2%), plastics and articles thereof (10.7%.). Imports increased by 19.3%; it was influenced by an increase in imports of crude petroleum – by 49.7%. Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 4.3 and 10.8% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 2.5, mineral products excluded – 0.8%.
In July 2013, against July 2012, exports grew by 8.3%; it was influenced by an increase in exports of boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof (by 18.4%) and furniture (by 18.8%). Imports increased by 13.8%; it was conditioned by an increase in imports of crude petroleum (by 20.7%), and boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof (27.3%). Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 12.7 and 12.1% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin remained almost unchanged, mineral products excluded – increased by 5%.
In January–July 2013, against the same period in 2012, exports grew by 13.7%; it was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products (by 18.9%), cereals (2.5 times), boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof (12.6%). Imports increased by 10.9%; it was conditioned by an increase in imports of crude petroleum (by 28.7%), boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and parts thereof (15.4%), plastics and articles thereof (12.1%). Mineral products excluded, exports and imports of goods increased by 12.4 and 8.8% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 12.4, mineral products excluded – 8.6%.
In January–July 2013, the most important partners in exports were Russia (19.6%), Latvia (9.6%), Estonia (7.8%), Germany (7.6%), in imports – Russia (31.2%), Germany (9.8%), Poland (9.4%), and Latvia (5.8%). Most of the goods of Lithuanian origin were exported to Germany (10.5%), Estonia (9.6%), the United Kingdom (9.3%), and Latvia (8.9%).
In January–July 2013, the largest share in exports and imports fell within mineral products (24.3 and 33.8% respectively), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (11.3 and 12.5%), products of the chemical or allied industries (8.8 and 9.8%). As for the goods of Lithuanian origin, the largest share in exports fell within mineral products (35%), products of the chemical or allied industries (8.2%), and miscellaneous manufactured articles (7.7%).
