Production in the construction sector in Lithuania grew by 5% in the last quarter of 2016 from a quarter ago, the highest rate among the countries whose data are available in the report.
Y-o-y, Lithuania's construction output rose by 4.2%, the third-largest increase after Sweden's 9.4% and the Netherlands' 8.3%.
Latvia's posted an 11.8% decline in y-o-y terms, but a 2.5% increase q-o-q.
Based on the available data, production in construction in the whole of the EU rose by 1.4% y-o-y and by 0.7% q-o-q. Data for 12 member states, including Estonia, are not available in the report.
