The power transmission system operator said in a press release that the average daytime electricity price in the Baltic countries, Finland and Nord Pool's fourth Swedish bidding area had been higher than in the rest of Sweden due to an insufficient cross-border transmission capacity between Sweden's bidding areas and between Sweden and Finland.
Lithuania last week imported 86% of its electricity, with 40% of imports coming from Latvia, Estonia and Finland, 25% from Poland and 35% from third countries.
