Lithuania's avg gross Q3 wages up 7.9% y-o-y

Average gross monthly earnings in Lithuania's economy, excluding sole proprietorships, rose by 7.9% in the third quarter of 2016 compared with a year earlier to reach 793.3 euros. Average net monthly earnings increased by 8.2% year-on-year to 615.9 euros. Quarter-on-quarter, gross earnings rose by 2.8% and net earnings were up by 2.5%, the statistics office said, attributing the quarterly increase to seasonality, raise of minimum monthly wages in July, raise of salaries to staff of health care institutions and other reasons.
