In the July-September period this year, Lithuania's economy widened by 1.6% y-o-y, while the EU growth was 1.8% and that in the euro area was 1.6%, Eurostat said in its preliminary figures.
In Latvia, the annual GDP growth was 0.7% and in Estonia 1.6% in the third quarter of 2016 as compared with the same period of last year.
Q-o-q, Lithuania's economy broadened by 0.1%, as compared to 0.5% and 0.2% growth in Latvia and Estonia, respectively. Across the EU, the economy edged up by 0.4% in the third quarter from the quarter before.
