The early-redeemed bonds are part of a 2-bln -dollar bond issue placed in international markets in February 2010. The size of the issue has now declined to 1.8 bln dollars. The bonds pay an annual coupon of 7.375% and mature in February 2010.
The Finance Ministry used funds raised through the placement of a 20-year, 450-million-euro Eurobond on Sept. 15, 2016. The bond was issued at a yield of 1.132% and carries a 2.125% coupon.
The Lithuanian central government sector's debt stood at 15.058 bln euros at the end of September, accounting for 39.4% of this year's projected GDP.
