A total of 254 new electric vehicles, hybrid cars and natural gas powered cars were registered in Lithuania during the quarter, up 29.6% from 196 a year earlier.
Lower numbers were only recorded by Latvia, down 21.3% to 155 units, and Bulgaria, at 177 units. The number in Estonia soared by 78.3% to 353 in the first half of 2016 year-on-year.
Across the EU, new AFV registrations rose by 3.5% to 302,800 units.
