Indre Miliniene, spokeswoman for Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil), the Klaipeda LNG terminal's operator, told that the Arctic Aurora had entered the Lithuanian port at around noon on Tuesday.
The last time a LNG tanker came to Klaipeda was in early June.
The Lithuanian buyers of Norwegian gas are the gas trade companies Litgas and Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas (Lithuanian Gas Supply, or LDT) and the fertilizer manufacturer Achema.
Litgas said on its website that the tanker was to deliver around 9,800 cubic meters of LNG for it. LDT, which supplies gas to household consumers, is unlikely to purchase much gas in the summer. Therefore, most of the shipment has apparently been delivered to Achema.
Twelve LNG tankers are to deliver around 1.35 billion cubic meters of gas in total to the terminal by late September.
