E-communications market in Lithuania grew by 5% in Q1

Lithuania's electronic communications market revenues grew by 5% in the first quarter to 160.322 million euros, from 152.645 million euros in the same period last year, final data from the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) showed on June 22nd. Quarter-on-quarter, the market's revenues rose by 1%. Combined revenues of mobile communications operators increased by an annual 8% to 57.9 million euros. Fixed-line telephone operators saw their revenues fall by 7.7% to 11.5 million euros. Revenues from Internet access services rose by 3% to 32 million euros. Investment in the electronic communications network infrastructure soared more than twofold year-on-year to 38.9 million euros in January through March.
