The overall price change was mainly influenced by a 11.8% increase in prices for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products, 0.4% – furniture, as well as by a 2.3% decrease in prices for the production of the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, 1.2% – electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (see Table 2).
Over the month, prices for industrial production sold on the Lithuanian market increased by 0.4%. The largest increase in prices was observed for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products (10.5%) and extraction of crude petroleum (7.5%). A price drop was observed for the production of the manufacture of wearing apparel (3.5%) and fabricated metal products, except for machinery and equipment (1.7%). Prices for food products decreased by 0.6%, of which for milk and cheese products – by 3.5, edible ice – 3.1%. Meanwhile, prepared pet foods went up in price by 7.9, prepared meals and dishes – 2.8%.
Over the month, prices for industrial production sold on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 2.4%. An increase in prices was observed for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products (12.1%) and electrical equipment (1.9%), while a decrease – for the production of the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (4.2%) and base metals (3.2%).
Over the month, prices for industrial production sold in the euro area increased by 4, in the non-euro area – by 1.2%.
Over the year (May 2016, against May 2015), prices for the total industrial production sold decreased by 8.2, refined petroleum products excluded – by 4.2%. It was mainly influenced by a decrease in prices for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products (17.2%) and chemicals and chemical products (16.9%), as well as by an increase in prices for furniture (1.2%).
The largest price drop – of 24.6% – was observed for the production of extraction of crude petroleum, while prices for the production of the manufacture of tobacco products grew by 17.4%.
Over the year, prices for industrial production sold on the Lithuanian market decreased by 5.8%, refined petroleum products excluded – by 2.6%. It was mainly influenced by a decrease in prices for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products (28.1%) and food products (2.3%) and an increase in prices for the production of the manufacture of furniture (2.8%).
Over the year, prices for industrial production sold on the non-Lithuanian market decreased by 9.8%, refined petroleum products excluded – by 5.7%. It was mainly influenced by a decrease in prices for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products (13.1%) and an increase in prices for the production of the manufacture of tobacco products (17.4%).
Over the year, prices for industrial production sold in the euro area decreased by 5.8, in the non-euro area – by 12.6%.
