Over the month, prices for building materials and products increased by 0.1%. The largest increase in prices over the month was observed for pipes – 0.6, finishing materials – 0.2%, while decrease – electrical engineering materials – 0.9, insulation materials and concrete and mortar – 0.1% each.
As for buildings and structures, the largest price drop over the month was observed for the construction of residential buildings – 1.4%. Renovation of buildings went down in price by 1.4%.
Over the year (February 2016, against February 2015), construction input prices increased by 1.4%. It was conditioned by an increase in wages and salaries and hourly labour costs of the operation of construction machines and mechanisms (by 5.9 and 0.2% respectively).
Over the year, prices for building materials and products dropped by 0.6%. The largest decrease in prices was observed for insulation materials – 3.8, finishing materials – 1.2, metal – 0.9%, while increase – plumbing materials (0.3%).
As for buildings and structures, the largest price growth over the year was observed for the construction of residential buildings – 2.2%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 2.8%.
The influence on the overall change in construction input prices is determined not only by change in the construction input component price but also by the relative share (weight) of that component in the total value of construction.
