The oil product terminal's revenue jumped by 18.1% in the first quarter from a year ago to 12.4 million euros and the LNG terminal's revenue went up by 8.6% to 17.6 million euros.
In March year-on-year, their revenue rose by 25% to 4 million euros and by 9.3% to 5.9 million euros, respectively.
"The LNG terminal, which has had a total of three large users since the start of the year, currently meets around 90% of the gas needs of Lithuanian consumers and supply companies," Klaipedos Nafta CEO Mantas Bartuska said in a press release.
"The growth in oil product handling volumes was due to an increase in oil product shipments by Orlen Lietuva and Belarus' refineries," he said.
Oil product loadings at the terminal soared by 54.8% in the first quarter year-on-year to 2.321 million tons and the LNG terminal's regasification volumes surged by 160% to 5.1 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of gas.
In March alone, these volumes were up by an annual 120% to 782,000 tons and by 250% to 2.3 million MWh, respectively.
