Year-on-year, the deficit decreased by 170.8 million euros.

The sector's revenue for the two months totaled 1.585 billion euros. Expenditure amounted to 1.635 billion euros and transactions in non-financial assets to 20.1 million euros.

The central government sector covers the central government budget, social security funds (the State Social Insurance Fund, or Sodra, the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and the Employment Fund), and extra-budgetary funds, as well as Turto Bankas (Asset Bank) and the Agricultural Loan Guarantee Fund's money kept in the state treasury account.
The extra-budgetary funds include the Privatization Fund, the Guarantee Fund, the Reserve (Stabilization) Fund and the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning Fund.
