The central government's total budget revenue for January through February amounted to 927.8 million euros, some 1.9% above the 910.6-million-euro target.
Its total tax revenue came in at 865.2 million euros, some 6.4 million euros, or 0.7%, more than projected.
The value-added tax brought 610.6 million euros into the state's coffers during the two months, some 5.9 million euros, or 1%, more than planned. Excise tax revenue came in 3.3 million euros, or 2.1%, above the target at 160.4 million euros.
Revenue from the corporate income tax, at 5.6 million euros, exceeded the estimate by 1.9 million euros, or 49.2%.
The personal income tax generated 190.1 million euros in budget revenue for the central government and local governments, some 8.4 million euros, or 4.6%, more than planned.
This year's central government budget projects 5.945 billion euros in annual revenue not including EU funds and 8.046 billion euros including EU funds.
