Lithuania posts 2nd lowest fall in agricultural income in EU

Lithuania this year posted one of the lowest annual declines in real agricultural income per worker among the EU's 28 member states, preliminary figures from Eurostat showed on Tuesday. Lithuania's agricultural income per worker fell by 3.4% in 2015 compared with 2014, the second lowest rate of decline after Finland's 2.6%. Estonia's agricultural income per worker rose by 3.2% and Latvia recorded a 14.3% increase, one of the largest in the EU. Across the EU, agricultural income fell by 4.3%. The largest increase was registered in Croatia, at 21.5%, and the largest decrease was recorded in Germany, at 37.6%.
