"Above-the-target budget revenue recorded for the eight consecutive month shows that planning was responsible, that competent authorities monitored the flows and applied effective and adequate measures to eliminate any flow disruptions in a timely manner," Finance Minister Rimantas Sadzius said in a press release.
The central government budget revenue totaled 5.215 billion euros and was 1.3%, or 68.9 million euros, above the eleven-month target.
Tax revenue of the central government budget amounted to 4.82 billion euros, exceeding the target by 1.2%, or 58.7 million euros.
The value-added tax brought 2.76 billion euros into the state's coffers in the reporting period, 1.6%, or 46 million euros, less than projected.
Excise tax revenues, at 1.047 billion euros, were 4%, or 40.5 million euros, above the target for the period.
Revenues from the corporate profit tax came close to 460 million euros and were 8.8%, or 37 million euros, above the target.
The personal income tax generated 1.247 billion euros in budget revenues for the central and local governments, 2.2%, or 27.4 million euros, above the projected level.
This year's central government budget projects 5.666 billion euros in annual tax revenue, not including EU funds, and 7.989 billion euros, with EU funds included.
