Lithuania posts EU's highest truck sales growth in January-October

Lithuania's new heavy truck sales grew at the highest annual rate in the EU in the ten months through October, figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) showed on Thursday. Lithuania's new truck sales in January through October rose by 65.4% year-on-year to 3,080 units. Latvian sales jumped by 36.8% to 1,179 units, while Estonian sales edged down by 2.1% to 604 units. In October year-on-year, Lithuania's sales increased by 51.4% to 368 and Latvia's sales surged by 125% to 216 units. Estonia registered a 39.4% drop to 57 units. The overall truck market in the EU grew by an annual 18.5% to 216,500 units in the ten months and by 5.5% to 28,200 in October.
