Lithuania is resuming control at its internal borders with Poland and Latvia due to the coronavirus threat, and foreigners will be banned from entering.

As part of efforts to stem the spread of the coronavirus in Lithuania, a company has already been allowed to produce hand sanitizer under a facilitated procedure and another ten will be issued with such permits shortly.

Lithuania on Friday confirmed its first case of the coronavirus Covid-19, diagnosed in a woman who recently returned from Italy, the government said.
