With one month to go until the Olympic Winter Games, Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee launched a new version of the official site www.sochi2014.com. This version is highly interactive, offering easy access to information about the athletes participating in the Games, sport disciplines, competition schedule and the city of Sochi. The site will feature detailed results of all events in real time. In 2014 www.sochi2014.com will become one of the most popular sports sites on the planet - more than 100 million visitors are expected to visit the site throughout the Olympic Games.

The two-story Media Center has a total area of over 158,000 sq. m and is located in close proximity to the Olympic Park.

In the period from December 24, 2013 to January 8, 2014, on the official ticketing site tickets.sochi2014.com, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for all Olympic events, including the Opening and Closing ceremonies. Tickets at all prices are available, from the cheapest, starting at 500 rubles, to the most expensive, making them the perfect New Year's gift for sports fans. Tickets can be collected, if ordered online, or purchased directly at the Main Ticketing Centers in Moscow and Sochi.

The official hockey pucks for the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games tournaments in Sochi were revealed on December 21, 2013 at the Bolshoy Ice Dome. Each puck has been made according to the International Ice Hockey Federation's standards; the thickness of the Sochi 2014 puck is 2.54 cm, it has a diameter of 7.62 cm and weighs 158 to 170 grams. The inauguration event was attended by Vladislav Tretiak, triple Olympic champion and president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, and Dmitry Chernyshenko, the president of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee. By tradition, all pucks used in the matches for Olympic bronze and gold will be sent to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Sustainable and environmentally responsible projects implemented within the preparations for the Sochi 2014 Winter Games received honors as part of the Sochi 2014 Sustainability Award "Gateway to the future!" and Green Building Recognition Program. Organizers of the awards reviewed initiatives of key participants in the sphere of sustainable development and application of green solutions and technologies. 31st European Traditional Karate Championship has taken place in Prague, Czech Republic on 5-8 December 2013. Lithuania was one of the participating countries in this event where 26 Lithuanians demonstrated their abilities and gained few awards.
