International Congress ‘Europe Christi’ began Fot Niedziela

Today the international Congress of ‘Europe Christi’ Movement has begun in Częstochowa at the headquarters of the Weekly Catholic magazine ‘Niedziela’. During the first day of the Congress, its participants have been discussing the current situation and the future of Europe in the light of the teachings of St. John Paul II.

The initiator of the pan-European movement calling for Europe’s return to the Christian values is the Priest Pralate Ireneusz Skubiś. He is also the honorary Chief Editor of the Catholic magazine ‘Niedziela’. Other participants of the event in Częstochowa were, amongst others, Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, metropolitan archbishop Wacław Depo, Chief Editor of ‘Frammenti di pace’ Antonio Gaspari from Italy, members of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland and other known people of social life.

Lithuania and the Vilnius region were represented by the Member of the European Parliament, leader of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania-Christian Families Aliance, Valdemar Tomaševski. In the following days the Congress will continue its meetings in Łódź; at the Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw and in the Senate of the Republic of Poland, where special guests will be present - Cardinal Robert Sarah, Stanisław Karczewski, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland and Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

The current Congress of the international Movement ‚Europe Christi‘ is taking place under the motto ‚Open the door to Christ’.
