The Women In Parliaments Summit brings together female members of parliament, high-profile politicians and activists from around the world to discuss global issues from the perspective of female political leaders.
To further encourage female participation at the very top and reward those who strive to achieve it, the Summit will also honour countries that are seen as having taken effective action to close the gender gap. WIP conference participants include Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (President of Liberia), Portia Simpson Miller (Jamaica PM), Tarja Halonen (FI ex-president), European Commission VPs Viviane Reding and Neelie Kroes and Parliament Vice-Presidents Roberta Angelilli, Anni Podimata and Isabelle Durant.
Follow the conference live through our webstreaming and on Facebook or on Twitter from links on the right. On twitter use the hashtag #WIPSummit2013
